It's a school transcript listing the follwing courses:

-Vegetais superiores - Cormofitos
-Vegetais inferiores - Talofitos

I don't think "inferior" or "superior" would work here. Can someone with experience in the field help me with that?

agree Donna Sandin : I think this must be it - there must be some sort of biological ranking of plant species, nothing to do with quality, and almost certainly "plants" not vegetables. Higher-order and lower-order?
