Translation is still a service, or even more of an Art, and will remain one forever. Nov 7, 2013

What you have been referring to here -- some incompetent brokerages and translation mills -- is not translation. It is insanity.

There are still some reliable translation companies even on the internet. When you have to make a decision about distributing jobs -- think that there are not that many translators in the world, so if you suddenly have too many, something must be wrong. In the US there are fewer translators than there are actors -- also quite a rare profession.
