I sometimes stumble over older postings that I didn't follow because I didn't know they existed. I am well aware that there is an option to be notified whenever a posting is made to a particular forum, but I choose not to take advantage of this option because my inbox is already flooded with other requests and notifications. RSS feeds would be great because they allow you to follow particular discussions or topics with the help of a separate RSS reader (or a reader that can be used as add-on to your browser, email client, etc.). I am already using one and am monitoring various channels, blogs and fora with it. Would it be too complicated to introduce a separate RSS feed for each forum, so everyone can choose which forum he wants to monitor more closely? Thanks for listening. Sonja

Hitting ALT-S will cause the Sage sidebar to appear, then you just click on the ProZ.com link to see the forum topics. For those of you who use an ealier version, try Sage or RSS Reader from the Extensions page. FeedReader: Feedreader is an open source RSS reader for Windows. I used to read my RSS feeds with this reader, but then switched to Sage on Firefox. Aggreg8: This is another add-on for Mozilla or Firefox. NewsMonster: add-on for Mozilla. Pluck: this is an add-on for Internet Explorer. IntraVnews: If you prefer to receive RSS feeds via your mail client, this little tool - free for non-commercial use - can be used to read RSS feeds with Outlook. IzyNews: IzyNews is an online service. You can subscribe to your feeds on their page, and they update a specific folder in your email client each time your RSS feeds are updated. Newspipe: I haven't tried this one and don't know how exactly it works. It seems to deliver RSS feeds via email. It's open source. HTH. Sonja [Edited at 2004-09-27 12:07]

It should not be an issue of three years, and an issue in the coming three years. ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » RSS feeds for fora?
