Yes in the UK and in Cornwall in particular the cost of living has increased substantially - the cost of water, gas, electricity, telephone, email, insurance, council tax and groceries, among others, has risen over this year. | |

In Brazil, the inflation is at least 10%, although the government pulishes it's 6%. If you consider the supermarket and the gasoline inflation, it's about 10% per month, not per year. The Brazilians have an uncontrollable culture of inflation. If they don't raise their prices every month, they can get sick and even die. However, the Brazilian translation agencies refuse to renegotiate prices, even if you've been working for them for three years without any readjustments. They'll simply di... They'll simply dismiss you and find a cheaper translator. So the quality goes down the tubes, of course.
