Rather than being too busy, right now I could say I'm in a Goldilocks moment... Just finishing one translation ready for delivery, and another one has just come in for the same client, which will keep me going until tomorrow or Thursday. I don't have my usual backlog of academic articles pending revision either, which is nice. Ticking over nicely, is how I'd describe my situation so far this week (yesterday was a bank holiday). I have been lately in a quiet spell, to compensate for the extremely busy months of last year...

No busy or quiet season to speak of in my left hemisphere, and always enough work to meet my living standard, obligations and life style when averaged over a year. However, I feel the translation market has been picking up nicely for the past months in my patch given the amount of work I have to turn down and the increasing visibility in my schedule. An opportunity for a rate increase? Philippe | |

I am on holiday. | Mar 29, 2016 |
I have been very busy since last summer to the extent that I now truly deserve my 3 week holiday. I am still being sent an average of 5 translations a day though. | | | DianeGM Local time: 03:08 Membro (2006) holandês para inglês + ...
I assume season actually means 'period'. 'Season' for work makes little sense to me. January is usually quieter for me than other months, in February my calendar starts to fill up and in March I am working at full capacity again. This year followed that pattern too. | | | Thayenga Alemanha Local time: 02:08 Membro (2009) inglês para alemão + ...
