About me.

In Madrid in the sixties when I was born the English language was more compulsory. I entered the ‘British Institut School’ at the age of five and there I studied English and did the Baccalaureate in the same language, 1965-1976. According to the Director - R. Holliday - ‘Carmen (Fátima) Blanco Gamboa, was a hard working student with an understanding and fluency in the English language appropriate to the level of her class’ (Certified studies).
I studied Law as far as Course 4 in the Complutense University of Madrid and later received a Diploma as Technician of Tourist Activities from the Juan Carlos 1 University of Madrid in 1984. Then I did a Master’s in Direction and Hotel Management in the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1996). I obtained the ‘Diplôme de Langue Française’ from the Catholic Institute of Paris in 1984 and I continued in the French Institute of Madrid. I visited Germany, Austria and Italy, and After some time I studied German in the Goethe Institute of Madrid and in the WIENER INTERNATIONALE HOCHSHULKURSE, (Deutschen Sprachkurse für Ausländer an der Universität Wien 1985-1986 (a German-speaking Course for foreigners in Vienna University) and I also did an intensive three-grade course of Italian in the ISTITUTO ITALIANO DI CULTURA, Madrid 1990 that granted me a scholarship for the University of Siena. I have studied Portuguese privately during long summer periods in Portugal. I obtained the Diploma of Restauración de Pintura for CEROA and that of Restauración de Muebles for the European Union. From 1998 I have translated these languages and Spanish at company level in my work in Occidental Hoteles and also at private level. I worked as Informador Turístico with the languages I possess for the City Council of Madrid (2003-2004) and now in the Albergue Juvenil Internacional San Fermin of the Community of Madrid. Religion has interested me and I have studied the Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths.
