Situational diagnosis of neonatal infant mortality in the municipality of Guarapuava in the period of 2003 to 2006.
This research aims at presenting the diagnosis of the situation of the neonatal infant mortality in the municipality of Guarapuava, Paraná, in the period of 2003 and 2006, with the objective of identifying the situation of cases of infant deaths in this period and then contribute to the organization of programs to the health of infants in the context of out-patient service and hospital attendance as well as family attendance. This is a descriptive study, based on a data survey, registered in death certificates, from the first of January, 2003 to the first of December, 2006, in a total of 155 deaths. It was verified that, out of this total, 18% of deaths had as primary cause the CID 10-P07: disorders related to pregnancy of short period, with low birth weight and P22 (13%): respiratory distress of newborn infant, followed by P36 (9%): neonatal bacterial sepsis. It could also be observed that the majority of deaths were from mothers aged from fifteen to nineteen years old(36,1%) and with a degree of schooling inferior to eight years of studies(80,7%) and the NR with weight under 2.499g (66,5%). In relation to pregnancy age, it was noticed that 68,4% of the cases were found on the threshold or under the thirty six weeks of pregnancy. The study indicated, therefore, that the degree of schooling, the low birth weight, the pregnancy age and the maternal age are directly related to the deaths in the neonatal period. The results of the analysis showed that the neonatal period is the most important moment to conduct a correct monitoring of the newborn infant in the hospital environment, in the primary healthcare units and in the Homecare Assistance Programs (PSF). The agreement established for the Pact for Life, with the campaign “a week devoted to the infants” is a priority, and comes to reinforce that only with strategies directed to this specific group, it is possible to minimize the current situation and thus offer better living conditions to the infants.

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo apresentar o diagnóstico da situação da mortalidade infantil neonatal no município de Guarapuava, Paraná, no período de 2003 e 2006, com o objetivo de identificar a situação dos casos de mortes de bebês neste período e, em seguida, contribuir para a organização de programas para a saúde das crianças no contexto de out-paciente e serviço de atendimento hospitalar, bem como atendimento familiar. Este é um estudo descritivo, com base em um levantamento de dados, registrados nos atestados de óbito, a partir de primeiro de janeiro de 2003 a primeiro de dezembro de 2006, em um total de 155 mortes. Verificou-se que, deste total, 18% das mortes tiveram como causa primária o CID 10-P07: distúrbios relacionados com a gravidez de curto prazo, com baixo peso ao nascer e P22 (13%): angústia respiratória do recém-nascido, seguido por P36 (9%): sepse bacteriana neonatal. Poderia também ser observado que a maioria das mortes eram de mães com idade entre 15-19 anos (36,1%) e com um grau de escolaridade inferior a oito anos de estudos (80,7%) ea NR com peso sob 2.499g (66,5%). Em relação à idade gestacional, observou-se que 68,4% dos casos foram encontrados no limiar ou sob a 36 semanas de gravidez. O estudo indicou, portanto, que o grau de escolaridade, o baixo peso ao nascer, a idade gestacional ea idade materna estão diretamente relacionados com as mortes no período neonatal. O acordo estabelecido para o Pacto pela Vida, com a campanha "uma semana dedicada à crianças" é uma prioridade, e vem para reforçar que somente com estratégias direcionadas a este grupo específico, é possível minimizar a situação atual e, assim, oferecer melhor condições de vida para as crianças.

O tabagismo é classificado como uma doença e é definida na Décima Revisão da Classificação Internacional de Doenças (CID-10) no grupo de transtornos mentais e comportamentais devido à substância psicoativa utilizada. Dependência da nicotina é hoje uma das doenças crônicas mais comuns na população e é devido à queda dos níveis de nicotina no sangue, onde a pessoa sofre os efeitos da retirada tais como irritabilidade, ansiedade, levando-a a fumar novamente. De acordo com a Organização Mundial da Saúde estima que 80% dos 1,3 bilhão de fumantes em todo o mundo querem parar de fumar e que o tabagismo é responsável por 5 milhões de mortes anuais, atingindo 10 milhões nos próximos 15 anos. Enfrentando esta pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender as causas que levam à dependência de nicotina e sabe os danos causados aos
humanos por causa do uso do tabaco. A metodologia utilizada foi através da revisão da literatura no Medline, Lilacs e Scielo e expandiu-se em outras fontes, como documentos governamentais e não-governamentais locais Web citada em 63 artigos publicados nos últimos 10 anos, onde 25 foram analisados.
Como a análise da pesquisa constatou-se que muitas doenças são causadas pelo consumo do tabaco e relacionado com o número de cigarros fumados, isso representa o maior contribuinte para o aumento do risco de doença em combinação com outros fatores de risco.
Esta análise também aprendeu que, entre as várias maneiras de avaliar a dependência à nicotina citou a "escala de Fagerström" uma ferramenta usada em todo o mundo, que pontua o grau de dependência do usuário de zero a dez. Concluiu-se que não só a dependência da nicotina que determina a persistência em seu uso e este não é o único fator relevante para o tratamento.O desejo de consumo pode ser desencadeado por estímulos ambientais relativamente independentes do estado ou necessidade fisiológica.
Assim, para o tratamento da dependência de nicotina também devem analisar o comportamento do paciente e as situações que desencadeiam ao uso do tabaco. Outras linhas também são usadas terapias como a terapia de reposição de nicotina (NRT), que são sistemas transdérmicos, goma mastigável e acupuntura. Métodos como a hipnose, aromaterapia, terapia cognitivo-comportamental e de auto-ajuda grupos são usadas como codjuvante e revela-se eficaz no tratamento do vício é quando acompanhada de outros distúrbios, como depressão e ansiedade.

Smoking
Smoking is classified as a disease and is set in the Tenth Revision of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) in the group of Mental and Behavioral Disorders due to psychoactive substance used. Nicotine dependence is now one of the most common chronic diseases in the population and is due to falling levels of nicotine in the blood, where the person suffers the withdrawal effects such as anxiety, irritability , leading her to smoke again. According to World Health Organization estimates that 80% of the 1.3 billion smokers around the world want to stop smoking and that smoking is responsible for 5 million deaths annually, reaching 10 million over the next 15 years. Facing this research aimed at understanding the root causes that lead to nicotine dependence and know the harm caused to humans because of use of tobacco. The methodology used was through the literature review in Medline, Lilacs and Scielo and expanded into other sources such as government documents and non-governmental Web sites cited in 63 articles published in the last 10 years where 25 were analyzed. As the research analysis it was found that many diseases are caused by tobacco consumption and related to the number of cigarettes smoked, this represents the largest contributor to the increased risk of disease in combination with other risk factors.This analysis also learned that among the various ways of assessing nicotine dependence quoted the "Fagerstrom Scale" a tool used worldwide, which scores the degree of dependence of the user from zero to ten. It was concluded that not only nicotine dependence that determines the persistence in its use and this is not the only factor relevant to the treatment.The desire of consumption can be triggered by environmental stimuli relatively independent of state or physiological need. Thus, for the treatment of nicotine dependence should also analyze the patient's behavior and the situations that trigger to tobacco use. Other lines are also used therapies such as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) which are transdermal patches, chewable gum and acupuncture. Methods such as aromatherapy, hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral and self-help groups are used as adjuvant and prove effective in treating addiction is when accompanied by other disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Texto de origem - português AQUECIMENTO GLOBAL E DA POSSIBILIDADE DE UMA EPIDEMIA DE DENGUE EM GUARAPUAVA: MAIS UMA FRIA DA CIDADES DO ESTADO DO
Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi examinar a possibilidade da ocorrência de uma epidemia de dengue no município de Guarapuava-PR, um dos mais frios no estado do Paraná. Para este efeito, foi avaliada a temperatura climática variável e chuvas em Guarapuava e também o limite de tolerância para o desenvolvimento e proliferação do mosquito Aedes, especificamente, a uma temperatura mínima e máxima, ea chuva como um fator limitante também. Além dela, uma armadilha de monitoramento foi desenvolvido para identificar a presença de Aedes na cidade de Guarapuava e aumentar o número de casos de dengue registrados no município.
Os resultados apontaram que, apesar da temperatura mínima, havia foco do mosquito aedes, que poderia desenvolver e, conseqüentemente, a ocorrência de uma epidemia de dengue.
Tradução - inglês GLOBAL WARMING AND THE POSSIBILITY OF AN EPIDEMIC OF DENGUE IN GUARAPUAVA: MORE COLD ONE OF THE CITIES OF THE STATE OF
Abstract: The objective of this study was to examine the possibility of the occurrence of a dengue epidemic in the municipality of Guarapuava-PR, one of the coldest in the state of Parana. For this purpose it was evaluated the climatic variable temperature and rainfall in Guarapuava and also the limit of tolerance to the development and proliferation of the Aedes mosquito, specifically at a minimum and maximum temperature, and the rain as a limiting factor too. In addition to it, a monitoring trap was developed to identify the presence of Aedes in the city of Guarapuava and raise the number of reported dengue cases in the county.
The results pointed that in spite of the minimum temperature, there were focus of the aedes mosquito, that could develop and consequently the occurrence of a dengue epidemic.
