Portuguese term or phrase: caragao
The writer is a Brazilian describing a study abroad experience in Mendoza, Argentina. There are a couple of spelling errors in the rest of the test, so that might be part of the problem. Here's the part that really has me stumped, and I think caragao is what's causing me the most trouble:

Os mendozinos podem mas ser too altos mas seu caragao e tao grande como os Andes (menos quando estao dirigindo).

Here's the full paragraph, in case it helps: Os mendozinos sao diferentes. Viven em um oasis mo muo do deserto, um oasis regado por vino e felicidade. Se o Dionisio (o duos grego)resolvesse aparecer hoye em dia ma terra, ele com certeza iria escolher Mendoza, porque dem de tudo, os mendozinos podem mas ser too altos mas seu caragao e tao grande como os Andes ( menos quando estao dirigindo).
