Hi:
Is it true that Translation Office offers unlimited free lifetime support and updates? I recently downloaded the software, and quite like it.
However, being a software engineer myself, I see a lot of upside potential for many new features, especially on the jobs and agencies database reporting side. If updates are free, that will really help me make the decision to purchase the software.

Folks:
I found on its website that TO3000 does not provide free lifetime updates after all. The reason for my misconception was the phrase
"You can enjoy its features and benefits for UNLIMITED time"
that TO3000 uses on one of its screens.
Well, unless one rents software, one can always enjoy the features of a software package that one has bought for ever, so the above sentence was slightly misleading, in my opinion.

I must have been one of the first to buy the package. Version 2.3 or something in that range. I got a free update to the current version 7.0.
Whenever a key did not worked, the problem was resolved in two days.
Where I will receive updates add infinitum, I do not now.
A lot better policy than the policy and service of the CAT-manufacturers

I did hear from AIT, the manufacturers of Translation Office 3000. They have said the upgrade to v8 will not be free. v8 is likely to be released in a couple of weeks, according to them.

I confirm that upgrade to version 8 will not be free of charge because there will be huge upgrade in the number of features but it will not be high, something between EUR29 and EUR59.
At the same time, upgrade will be free of charge for users who have acquired Translation Office 3000 in 2006.

If people have not found it essential yet, it is just that they still have a mile or two to ride down the Translation Boulevard.

However, I haven't received the option yet to get it for free. I bought the tool on March, 10th, 2006.
Perhaps the offer will be launched in a few weeks?
