I just completed a large executive summary / proceedings for The Carter Center, who has been implementing a large-scale strategy to eliminate trachoma, a blindness-causing disease, in under-developed countries. The subject is a mix between developmental issues and medical studies.

I am working on a 12 K word manual about MRI procedures for image acquisition, more specifically in the field of spine patholgies. This job requires a careful phrasing or each sentences since these are guidelines to MRI technicians on how to plan and acquire the images.

This is a booklet published by the Reeves Foundation, aimed at people living with spinal cord injuries, to guide them with resources available in the United States. Although this seemed an easy-peasy job, it proves challenging by having to find equivalents in the francophone world for things as straightforward as "Rehab Center" or Community services". Enjoying it though. It's about 14k words. Should be finished these days.

I am working on my 465th clinical trial documents since I started my business. I started the Informed consent (3823 words) this morning and expect to finish it around 4 pm. The whole order has 8900 words and will be completed tomorrow. The trial is about a product that seals the dura mater. Loving it.

I just completed a series of web material/training courses on startups and how to develop them. There are 19 courses, about 1,500 word long each. It was a very enjoyable job because of the didactic tone of it, requiring some creativity to make the whole thing sound attractive and compelling. It was very intensive week, though!

It's all about UN related matters these days. I just completed a translation on long term response to famine in South Sudan. I like working on these subjects because they contribute to helping people and teach me a lot of things about the affected communities and areas.

i am deep into marketing surveys at the moment, mostly medical ones but also about technology, entertainment or food products. I enjoy them because they require some creativity. What I mean is that the language used for questions is very different in English and in French and you need to think of how to ask the question properly so that survey respondent will be able to give a reply with no trouble. It's fun to do and I think I got good at it. Have a lovely day!
