I
studied Statistics at the National School of Statistical Science (ENCE) in Rio
de Janeiro and I worked as a Statistician for the Department of Agriculture for
a long time. I also studied a little Architecture. Later, I learned translation
at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-Rio), where I also took my
Post-Graduation Course in English/Brazilian Portuguese Translation, and
Spanish/Brazilian Portuguese at UNESA/RJ. I also took another Post-Graduation
Course in English/Brazilian Portuguese Translation at Universidade Gama Filho
and a Technical Translation Course at SENAC-Rio. In addition, I studied translation
in other in Rio de Janeiro. I have been working as a freelance translator for
several companies, where I translated texts of areas such as automotive, engineering,
electricity, mechanics, architecture, ship and tool manuals, machinery and
equipment, environment, fashion, marketing, films subtitles, oil and gas,
carpentry, compressors, ecology, literature, and cooking. When I
translate I use Trados SDL Studio.
