I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin Language & Literature and also in Italian Language & Literature, both with an emphasis on Linguistical Studies. I'm a languages teacher and I have some experience in teaching Italian, French, Latin and Ancient Greek. I also work as a translator in all of these languages I know. My capstone projects for Latin and Italian courses were respectively a translation of some Latin Christian hymns, composed by the 4th century Roman author Prudentius, and also a whole Italian work of tragedy, named Sophonisba, written by the 16th century Venetian author Trissino. I have a particular interest in Classical Poetry, Metrics, Romance philology and Christian Literature.
I'm from Brazil, so I'm a Portuguese native speaker, and I also speak English, Italian and a little French (intermediate level). I can understand Spanish and, though I'm able to speak Latin and Ancient Greek with some effort, in practice I just read and write in both languages, since it's not common to use these classical languages to talk, i.e. we don't usually practice speaking.
I have little experience in freelance translation, since I've been working as a language teacher most of the time, but I've already made works concerning Economics, Architecture, Biology... etc. Moreover, of course, poems and a tragic play, as I've said. I've made many other translations in college over the course, which weren't monetized, specially from Ancient Greek and Latin.
