My name is Douglas, I'm based in Brazil and, I am a freelance Subtitler and Translator.
I've much experience translating varied content for a technical translation mentorship program in Brazil. I can give you references if you need them. I have experience in many other fields: Technology, Automotive, Mining, Machinery, Games, Marketing, E-commerce, Finance, Education, Life Sciences, Sports and Psychology.
I worked with two agencies called "GoTransparent" and White Globe, translating, post-editing, checking, and editing Training Data Sets and Automotive and Technical on an XTM file (21,958,9 words)
I've translated a book called "Invisible Prison" from Portuguese into English. The book contained 26 pages and 26,890 words.
Most recently, I've worked on a Control Center Help for release project for an agency called "Kirk Translation". I worked for a site called "Master Portuguese Translator" translating, checking, copywriting, and editing articles about all states of the U.S. using artificial intelligence called "CHATGPT.
Currently, I'm collaborating with an agency called " Language Translations Services" by translating, checking, editing, and proofreading student's documents for school (over 20,000 words) in the education and Pedagogy field. I also translated 3 educational/language test files into Portuguese for an agency called “SIA Idea Media Birojs” (3028 words). I'm also collaborating with a website called "Master Portuguese Translator", by translating, editing, copywriting, transcription, and checking English expressions.
I worked for an agency called " Free Writers" translating a WHO article that contained about 32,000 words in the medical field.
I also have experience translating and subtitling varied content for TED Talks Videos as a volunteer.
I provide translation, editing, subtitling, checking, proofreading, MT-post-editing, Transcreation, Transcription, and review services.
I work with SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast, Smartcat, Memosource, Crowdin, CHATGPT, or any tool you prefer. I have full availability to work on any projects. I can also work on tight deadlines and simultaneous projects.
My rates per word are USD 3 and USD 12 per hour. But rates are entirely negotiable depending on the volume of your work. I can do unpaid tests if necessary.
My daily capacity is 3000 words per day, but it may be higher, depending on the demand and your needs.
