I'm a freelance translator with 20 years of experience, both in the technical field, as well as in translation and subtitling. In the latter field, I work for the most important tv networks in Portugal, and also some foreign ones (National Geographic, Discovery Channel, History Channel, etc.)
In the technical field, I've developed my expertise mostly in the medical and pharmaceutical field, translating in 2009 a report for the World Health Organisation. I've also collaborated with some international pharmaceutical companies.
I'm also experienced in translating mechanic and engineering texts, mainly for the aviation industry.
Other fields I'm comfortable translating include Tourism/Travel, Communication, Law, Literature ans Marketing / Advertising.
Besides translation, I also do proofreading work.
My native language is Portuguese (european variant, but I'm used to work with brazilian portuguese, specially in proofreading work) and the source languages I work with are: English, French, Spanish, German and Hebrew.
I work mostly with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel), Acrobat and online translation platforms.
