I am a Brazilian lawyer and legal translator. I have practiced law for over 20 years. I have worked in top law firms both in Brazil and abroad, having spent two years in New York, where I first received an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School and then worked as a foreign associate for a local boutique law firm (Becker, Glynn, Melamed & Muffly). After several more years as a senior associate in a first-rate Brazilian firm (Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice), I decided to quit the law and work as a legal translator. I studied translation in a renowned Rio school (Daniel Brilhante de Brito) and have been in the business since 2010.
