I am a Danish-German-Danish freelance translator specialising in marketing, tourism, fashion and clothing, design and furniture, business, economics, finance as well as legal and technical translations.

I am fully bilingual in German and Danish and highly skilled in translation and transcreation. Having spent one half of my life in Denmark and the other half in Germany, I have a keen sense of both cultures as well as excellent writing skills in either language.

I have a university degree in language and translation. Having graduated from the Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, Denmark in January 1988, I completed a number of postgraduate courses at the University of Southern Denmark, thus achieving a BA in legal and technical translation in June 2000.

I have more than 20 years of full-time translation experience. Before starting my freelance career, I worked as an executive assistant for eleven years, thus gaining comprehensive knowledge of three different companies/industries as well as invaluable know-how and experience with different organisational functions such as marketing, financial controlling and contracting. Since 1999, I have produced an average workload of approx. 30,000 words/month.

I am authorized by German courts to certify translations from Danish into German and from German into Danish. I am an accredited member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators in Germany (Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer, BDÜ) as well as ADÜ Nord and an active participant in various professional groups and organisations.
