Obviously yes. There's no data protection in free versions and at least DeepL has a limited free version (limited number of words that you can translate per day).

The rest of the Americas is Third World territory.

I think it is only a matter of time to be available in other Latin American countries. I've found this recent post:

I use my own paid machine translation engine in addition to DeepL.
I think a lot of people have a wrong idea about MT.
For me, MT doesn't and never has done the job for me.
It just serves as any other translation assistance tool that speeds up my work and which gives me more time to improve my human translation.
