links-like feel

English to Portuguese Marketing Sports / Fitness / Recreation golf

What about the Olympic Games golf course?
How does it look from a golfer’s point of view?

I’m really looking forward to it.
XXX designed the course, so I’m sure it’ll be a great test.
XXX is renowned for adapting an area’s existing terrain and natural features into a tough course - but one that will also reward good shot making, especially on approach shots.
I believe there’s a links-like feel to the course and plenty of trouble to be found in sandy native areas not far from the fairways.
I think a good, long distance bunker game will be a very valuable asset there.
There’s no doubt the course will demand a lot of creativity and imagination.

@Teresa, Obrigada! Acho que é por aí mesmo... Faz sentido. :S
@Stephania Talvez isto ajude: Many golfers use “links” and “golf course” interchangeably. But the term “links” is actually a specific type of golf course. Linksland describes the sandy windswept dunes and fertile farmlands found between the North Sea and the Scottish town of St. Andrews where the game was first developed 500 years ago.

estilo links

http://www.forbes.com.br/colunas/2016/05/torneio-leva-golfis...

"...o campo português tem estilo links"

Site Jornal do Golfe:

http://www.jornaldogolfe.com.br/noticias/torneio-no-terras-d...

http://emea.nttdata.com/br/quem-somos/patrocinador-do-the-op...

I believe there’s a links-like feel to the course...

A links is the oldest style of golf course, first developed in Britain. The word "links" comes via the Scots language from the Old English word hlinc : "rising ground, ridge" and refers to an area of coastal sand dunes and sometimes to open parkland.
