In a catheterization report from Portugal I have atable that has conduto: MIE Pediculada and in the next column (Vaso), DAM ... cannot figure out what DAM stands for. The other two items are Safena and Safena in the MIE column and OM2 and CDD in the DAM column.

descendente anterior media
This sounds like a CORONARY catheterization, and, if so, one of the vessels of greatest interest would be the "left anterior descending" or LAD as it is known among interventional cardiologists in the UK. The artery descends in a medial groove, on the front of the heart,between the two ventricles, hence my explanation for "anterior media". Also the fact that the adjectives are feminine would go nicely with "arteria"
