"Na ocorrencia de sinistro contemplado por coberturas concorrentes, ou seja, que garantam os mesmos interesses contra os mesmos riscos, em apolices distintas, a distribuicao de responsabilidade entre as sociedades seguradoras envolvidas devera obedecer as seguintes disposicoes...."

This is in an commercial insurance policy under the Clause called "Competition Policy" (where the Insured can take out more than onc insurance policy from another insurer during the same insurance period against the same risks). Don't find "competing coverages" the best wording to use, but here goes my try:

"In the event of an accident authorized by the competing coverages, i.e. insuring the same interests against the same risks between different policies, the distribution of liability between the insurance companies involved shall abide by the following provisions..."
