aclaración podrías indicarnos, por el contexto (o incluirlo en la pregunta) si a) se refiere a que las dimensiones del pie están muy reducidas debido a la amputación o
b) si se refiere a que la movilidad del pie está muy reducida debido a la amputación?

En un caso u otro la traducción sería diferente, y con el contexto que das ambas opciones son igualmente posibles.

Literally, a reduction or shortening.

Never thought for a moment that it was. My suggestion stands, although I do like "limitation" more :)
