A very weird place indeed, the end client being, erm, someone special.

In a hospital room, waiting for my mother to come back from surgery and in the garage of a mechanic, waiting for my car to be serviced.

On a really old laptop. I wasn't supposed to have one in the room. I had to hide it when the staff came in.

hospital and other "medical" waiting rooms, parked car, moving car, airport, kitchen table (not my usual work area!), in bed...

fun question!

Interpreting Aug 31, 2011

Years ago, in a school for children with Down's syndrome, whilst being constantly whisked off by the children to dance with them! Not weird really, just lovely!

Haven't tried the kerb yet Aug 31, 2011

Nor have I ever taken translation work to a party, but have translated whilst the neighbours had the party to end all parties. Ended up typing to the rhythm of the beat.

Yes, Hospital Aug 31, 2011

When my wife was delivering my girl last year, I found a stand to put my laptop on and do my job in a space between two doors. What is fun was both doors were locked up during the midnight. fortunately, one of the doors is a motor-driven slide one, which I opened by force.

All of them Aug 31, 2011

And none of them seem particularly weird to me: if I am forced by circumstances to spend time away from my office/room, I just get on with it as best I can. I am VERY impatient and can't stand wasting time, while at the same time suffering from being a major ditherer and procrastinator!!
