Bár Amerikában ezt a salátafajtát mindenki iceberg lettuce-nek vagy egyszerűen icebergnek nevezi, a Whole Foods honlapján ezt találtam: “The words lettuce and salad are practically interchangeable since most salads are made predominantly with the green crispy leaves of lettuce.”

Viszont egyetértek abban, hogy az “iceberg salad” kifejezés általában az iceberg lettuce-ből készült salátára vonatkozik, vagy pedig a nálunk nagyon népszerű előrecsomagolt és előmosott salátára:
