Answer to a survey question about use of a specific needle size to administer insulin:

"Dan komt de insuline niet op de juiste plaats, waardoor instelling slechter wordt."

What is the right word for "instelling" in this context?

regulation I found "regulation" which is what the answerer to the question had in mind: regulation of the blood glucose levels.
