Discussion

stephen mewes (asker) Jan 28, 2011:
Yes, it's an insurance policy, unfortunately it doesn't have a title.
Andrew Alix Jan 28, 2011:
Can I assume that this has to do with insurance?

open claims

I looked at some available uses of your phrase. I cannot imagine, as a former insurance underwriter, risk manager, and attorney, that "ikke afsluttede skader" would be translated in insurance jargon as anything but "open claims".

See the reference link for examples of the term. (The letterhead on one of the Google-listed documents is very familiar to me. ;-) )

I should clarify -- I was referring to the list on my Google search for uses of the Danish phrase.

Claims not yet finalised

This is a bit of a guess since translation requires more information than you have presented here, Stephen. 'Skade' is 'damage' and a 'forsikringsskade' is the subject of a 'damage claim'.
