What Masoud is translating isn't about the class action, however, the terminology used by these organisations is the reason the clients are called class members. After the State of Arizona lost the class action lawsuit, they had to completely shake up their community mental health services provision. This resulted in the 12 principle in the Arizona Vision document, which is an outline of the services that the state must offer the 'class members', who, by the way, are not only the ones who took the state to court, but everyone who comes under the umbrella of "a resident of Maricopa County, indigent, has a serious mental illness, and would reasonably benefit from appropriate behavioral health treatment due to his or her mental illness". @ALL Thanks, but I don't think so. Look at another example: Service plans identify whether a class member is at risk of experiencing a placement disruption and, if so, identify the steps to be taken to minimize or eliminate the risk,

Going by the links below, it looks like this term might (strangely) be linked to a class action suit! According to https://www.azahcccs.gov/AHCCCS/HealthcareAdvocacy/arnoldvsa... "A class action suit—Arnold v. Sarn—was filed in 1981 against the State of Arizona alleging that the Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services (ADHS) and Maricopa County did not provide a comprehensive community mental health system as required by statute." In the FAQs, "A member is someone who is: at least 18 years of age, has been medically determined to have a serious mental illness, and lives in Maricopa County."

@Phil Goddard, it could well be a school class as you wrote. There is "class member's lives", (members of a class) plus class members in foster care. So that could possibly mean that there are certain members of that (school) class who need the help cited in the question by Masoud.

I'm not sure if it means a school class, because the context is not education. So it could mean "category of people".
Class is written in lower case - Masoud has used capitals for emphasis.
