My hobbies include among other things reading, sport, singing and cooking.
I also have a couple of voluntary activities on the internet, and I sometimes organise concerts for a foreign choir, which is a hard-work "hobby".

I think you're reading more quickly than usual today! I certainly wouldn't like to watch children being born... I even look away when I get an injection.
We go out with a group of people to spot birds in different parts of the country. Some folks take wonderful photos, I'm lousy. It's also a great way to be out in nature and visit different places. Somewhat of a slower pace than your hobby (although I couldn't see your son's video, apparently not available for my country).

Christina: I find cooking very relaxing and I enjoy trying new recipes, particularly for vegetables. But somehow the feeling is a bit different when all the family is hungry and I'm trying to finish a translation! Peruvian cuisine is famous, I bet your bakery is wonderful

I have plenty of hobbies, but not much time to do them at the moment, due to work and family comittments. Good thing I love my family and work so much!
It is ironic that the things I most like doing are the things I spend the least time doing at the moment. I spend a lot of time doing the washing, ironing, tidying up etc, but they are NOT hobbies!
I suppose that'smpart of the joy of being a grown up!

Collecting fossils, coins and stamps were childhood pursuits which are difficult to shake of even now. Patchwork, choral singing, hiking, cooking, swimming, birds, nosing around small villages, crosswords, etc etc. Of course, with two small children, I can now forget most of that! But I dream of having time to return to some of these. In the meantime I have to curb their urges to start collections of virtually everything!
