Es geht um einen Scanner:
Focus distance
Provides focal distance adjustment for the camera. When “Distance units” is set to “millimeters”, the Focal Distance parameter has a range of 25 to 4000.
Nun habe ich zwei verschiedene Begriffe, die hier anscheinend als Synonym verwendet werden, obwohl ich für focal distance = Fokusabstand und für focus distance = Brennweite sagen würde...
In der Software selbst steht "Focus distance".

Danke, und ja, es geht um Entfernungseinstellung (adjustment). Focal distance, isoliert, ist Entfernung.

The command gives reasonable step sizes as apposed to completely unknown magnitudes but it is not expected that 2 units will exhibit the same exact **focus** for a given setting.
