Eva Eldh
English to Swedish translator.
Areas of competence: education, mentally and physically disabled, fibromyalgia, baking, nature. winemaking, fruit wine.




My areas of experience:

  • school and education, especially for mentally and physically disabled.

  • Healthcare, especially for mentally and physically disabled.

  • Baking - I have had my own café for some years.

  • Nature and growing (vegetables and flowers) is a long and lasting interest.

  • Wine, cider and fruit wine. We have had our own fruit wine making company, my husband and I. The interest in wine and food is also long and lasting. 

My education and work:

  • Language studies: primarily English, from age ten, and also some French, German and Latin.

  • English in Brighton for six months (in a Swedish Folk High school)

  • University studies in English for one year 

  • Education to be an assistant nurse focusing on people who are mentally disabled.

  • Working as an assistant teacher with people that are mentally disabled.

  • Having two kids. (One with Asperger's Syndrome.) Big part of  my education!

  • Work as a nighttime living assistant for mentally and physically disabled young kids.

  • On sick leave with Fibromyalgia for some years with stunts on different job activities.

  • My husband and I started a Fruit Wine company. 

  • Work as a daytime living assistant for mentally and physically disabled young young people. I quit that job due to not enough respect from my employer, who wanted results through no effort. That doesn't work. 

  • Starting a café together with my husband. I bake and serve.

  • Work at a charcuterie with packing and cleaning. I  have learned the different parts of a pig!

Passions:

  • Gardening

  • Baking

  • Handicraft of different kinds: sewing, knitting, clay, wood, renovating house,

  • Culture: reading, art exhibitions, movies, folk music (used to play the fiddle!)
