Source text - Korean 이렇게 현대 사회에서 전기에너지의 비중이 높기 때문에 전기에너지는 고품질, 고효율, 고신뢰도로 공급되어야 한다. 고품질의 전기에너지란 일정한 크기의 주파수와 전압이 유지된 것을 말하며, 이를 위해서는 매순간 수요량과 일치하도록 전기에너지를 생산해야 하고, 유효/무효 전력이 부족하거나 과잉 시에는 주파수/전압이 감소하거나 증가하여 품질이 저하된다. 또한 고신뢰도의 전기에너지 공급을 위해서는 발전기 또는 기타 전력설비의 고장에 대비하여 예비력을 확보한 상태에서 운영되어야 한다.
Translation - English Since the share of electiriticy of total energy is high in a modern society, elelctricity must be provided with high quality, high efficiency and high reliability. High quality electricity means providing electricity at a consistent level of frequency and voltage. For high quality electricity, electricity must be produced accordingly with the demand level at every moment. When effective/reactive power runs shortly or excessively, the frequency or voltage levels decrease or increase, which eventually reduces the quality of the electricity. To provide electricity reliably, reserve margin must be properly secured in order to prepare for malfunctioning of power generators and the facilities.
