Metallurgical, mechanical, and industrial engineering, chipping, welding, and bending techniques, oil-hydraulic and pneumatic systems (2,5 years apprenticeship in industrial mechanics that provided a lot of "hands-on" experience)

Literary and cultural studies especially of Latin and North America, postmodern and postcolonial theory, Modern History of Europe and the Americas. (studies in North and Latin American Studies and Modern History at Freie Universität Berlin and a two semesters exchange with Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas.)
