terms The material is diatomaceous earth that comes from the exoskeletons of fossil diatoms. The filters are those that use diatomaceous earth and very possibly one can call them diatomaceous earth filters and that is correct....filtros de tierra de diatomeas...but one gets a little tired after saying diatomaceous earth filters after a while and starts calling them just diatomaceous filters for simplicity. Just like calling leche de vaca instead of leche extraida de una vaca...(joke)...therefore it is for the asker to decide but the asker said filtros de diatomeas and the correct translation is therefore diatomaceous filter...in my humble opinion.
