En una solicitud de divorcio de Venezuela, aparece "instituciones Familiares" en los siguientes párrafos:

Creo que se refiere al régimen de visitas, patria potestad y demás cuestiones a definir sobre los hijos, pero no encuentro un equivalente en inglés.

Parece ser que se refiere a lo mismo que apuntas al final, patria potestad, visitas, etc....
"dependientemente del tipo de divorcio escogido (contencioso, común acuerdo o desafecto), si al momento de iniciar cualquiera de éstos procesos, existen hijos menores de dieciocho (18) años, además de las causales propias del divorcio, deberá incluirse en la solicitud o demanda, el régimen relativo a las **instituciones familiares** (patria potestad, manutención, régimen de convivencia familiar, responsabilidad de crianza (custodia), y el tribunal que decida será siempre el Tribunal de Protección de niños, niñas y adolescentes, como fuero atrayente, en virtud del interés superior de los hijos"
Desconozco si existe un término preciso en inglés. pero en RU utilizaríamos algo como "Parenting arrangements" "Custody arrangements"

They are not an agency, they are the body of law or rules and regulations governing family matters.

Discussion
Al hablar de padres y madres con residencias separadas pero con hijos en común surgen muchas dudas. ¿Dónde deberían vivir los niños?, ¿cuándo los puedo ver y compartir con ellos?, ¿cómo se dividen los gastos y la manutención de los niños entre cada uno de los padres?, ¿qué obligaciones tengo como padre/madre?, ¿qué derechos y obligaciones tengo como padre/madre?. Estas son algunas de las preguntas que nos hacen a través de las redes sociales.
¿A dónde hay que acudir?
En el supuesto en el que los padres requieran establecer un acuerdo de instituciones familiares pueden acudir al Ministerio Público, ya que dentro de sus atribuciones este tiene la posibilidad de promover acuerdos judiciales y extrajudiciales en interés de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
De no ser posible un acuerdo, se deberá acudir a los Tribunales de Protección de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes para así hacer la fijación del régimen de convivencia familiar, la obligación de manutención y de ser necesario, la custodia.
