Hello,
I am translating a delivery and erection contract (Rebuild OCC Line) where there is this definition :
Plant = The goods, the work and the commitments which the Supplier shall deliver, perform and undertake according to the terms of this Contract.
Than later on:
Start-up Day The day on which the Plant operates in the conditions as specified in contract Appendix xx.
Would "installations" be ok? I don't think 'matériel' is relevant here but I might be wrong. Also, if we are talking about rebuilding an OCC line, I imagine that the 'usine/édifice' not the good term to use.

Je pense que tout cela est inclus dans la définition de 'goods' et, avec 'travaux et engagements', dans la 'chaîne de fabrication', mais c'est à vous de choisir.
Goods = All machinery, all equipment, all materials and all other articles which the Supplier shall deliver according to the terms of this Contract.
So "goods", in the first definition, can't be translated as 'equipment' only.
This only became clear when Cyril found the link to the German company Andrix and the Italian company Cartiere del Polesine. Thanks to Cyril for that. I did not expect such cross references.
But the whole purpose of the quoted para. from the ST is to define very precisely what 'plant' means in the context of this contract.
Consequently, 'plant' and the chosen translation ('installation', for example) will no longer be ambiguous.
