Hello, I am translating an amplifier manual and need to translate rough handling into Spanish.

The whole phrase is .... the packaging is designed to protect the unit from rough handling

My attempt .... el embalaje sirve/está diseñado para proteger a su unidad de golpes durante el transporte.

I gather it is during transport because after this phrase it goes on to say that you should carefully examine the packaging for physical damage which has occurred during transport...
