Born into an American family in Israel, both English and Hebrew were taught to me at a very young age. I spent most of my life in the library, from infancy to adulthood. I recall the frustration of my educators when I skipped classes over and over again to go read; I can still see the look of uncertain shock on their faces as they found me pouring over books in the school library during and after school hours. Reading has been a favorite habit of mine since 6 years old, and writing since 15. Some people have an obvious skill that sets them apart from everyone else, something they love that determines their personality and brings out the best in them. Mine is writing. I find translating to be the most creative type of writing, as it allows me to be true to my own style while bringing forward an idea belonging to someone else. I hope you will join me on this journey, your words will be in caring hands. |
