Another from my list of garments, so again not much context and no images I'm afraid: "T-shirt manica corta con **manica a scalfo** e collo in costa" or again: "Maglia manica lunga con **manica a scalfo**, polsi in costa". For "scalfo" I've found "armhole", but I can't see how to use it in this context. Thanks in advance.

Again, with no photo not easy. But going by exclusion here (so no raglan, no dropped, no circular etc) this might just be a "set-in sleeve" where, if you where knitting it you would shape both sleeve top and armhole to give a nice tailored fit. Maybe check out photos re "scalfo manica" and "set-in sleeve" and see what you think. HTH

Basically what they are saying is that the entire sleeve is sewn to the torso block, which is different than true kimono or raglan sleeve construction, where basically there aren't armholes proper. It's also called "manica a giro" or "giro manica".
