This is one of those phrases that lends itself to interpretations, I tend to see a reference to the harmony, elegance and free-flowing characteristics of the scenery and the course. Difficult to offer certainties though and in the absence of certainties you may decide to opt to stick with a literal translation although it doesn't sound particularly good...
