Nicaragua: se le llama banano (en masculino) al que se usa como fruta ya sea cuando está verde o amarilla, plátano al plátano verde, ''maduro'' al plátano cuando está maduro, y *guineo a la banana (o sea la fruta) cuando está verde aún.
