Jahreslosung

German to English Other Religion Wedding sermon

Key bible verse for 2007?

annual watchword

This might be particular to some denominations.

thanks!
agree Ramey Rieger (X) : in this context, I would simply say "watchword", as the date is given.

Watchword (for) 2007

"The Daily Watchwords or Losungen is an annual, globally distributed publication of the Moravian Church" says Wikipedia. I have come across [English language] daily Watchwords used in multiple contexts. Interestingly, there are fewer references to Watchwords for a specific month/Monatssprüche (cf. http://www.martinluther.ca/e/ChurchNewsArchives/2011/2011.07... for example) or for the year/Jahreslosung, but I think this would still be the appropriate translation, cf. links below. A strong German connection remains evident with all of these at any rate.
