German term

Streckschnitt

German to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances Mattress Padding
"Matratzen ABC®-Auflage mit neu entwickeltem Streckschnitt im Lordosebereich, kombiniert mit DEF® in der Schulterzone"

One urgent job done, now an even more urgent one. More mattress stuff. Something to do with a "Polsterauflage" for a mattress. I haven't got the faintest idea what a "Streckschnitt" is, and can only find one reference on the Web that doesn't enlighten me at all. Anyone here have an idea? I need an answer within half an hour tops (sooner still would be better). Sorry to be demanding, but when you get a mega-rush job, what can you do?

lordosis support

Example sentence:

Durch die Betonung einzelner orthopädischer Zonen, z. B. der Schulterzone, der Hüftzone oder dem Lordoseschnitt (Wirbelsäulenbereich, Hohlkreuz) wird der Körper optimal gestützt und eingebettet.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Michael and Ingeborg! Although I needed the answer in a hurry, I never like to grade in a hurry, because you never know what might come up 2-3 days later, and I believe in choosing the best long-term answer, even if it differs from what I went with in the short term. But anyway, looks like this is the only answer that's going to be submitted here. It's a good one though, with an excellent explanation and a reference. I ended up translating the entire phrase, "Streckschnitt im Lordosebereich" as "lordosis support". Many thanks again for your assistance with this quite horrible word."
