Ceran is a trade name for glass ceramics
What is puzzling, is the juxtappositon of Mulde and Gesenk. Both means mould (Giessform Spritzform, Giessplatte - die, tray) in different contexts.
I guess that this is part of a stove.

: But this is supposed to be a list of household appliances. How can a recess be an appliance? In German the only reasonable terms I know of are Ceran-Kochfeld/Kochmulde, but never heard of Gesenk in this context.
