adjunct contract (visiting teacher/professor)
Hello,
This is a just like a visiting professor/teacher. However, they can be renewed.
vacation = short-term/temporary/visiting
I hope this helps.

: More or less, yes. In a higher ed college they teach part time there while having a full time job in a school (lycée usually). Pay awful (and only twice a year), renewable as often as wanted, but easily disposable if no longer needed. (Bin there!)

: Not sure I've heard adjunct used like this in UK English, it may well be a US expression. But, there is no requirement for a vacation to have any time limit on it nor involve replacement. My wife has had vacations for 15 years and replaces no-one

: I get the impression that this is more for American English than for British?

temporary work contract
A vacation is often a teaching job in replacement of a teacher

: this is also possible actually. It's factual. Appropriate to certain types of schools I would say (e.g. summmer schools for example or TEFL etc.) I guess johaina who has the full details will have to judge! Would you agree with supply teaching contract?

: Hello Ahmed, I see you already had "Supply Teacher Contracts". Sorry! Sheila Wilson above suggests that "vacataire" is a wider term than just supply teaching. Given context I think Supply Teaching/Teacher Contract for British use.

Une vacation permet de définir un bon de commande des heures prévisionnelles à réaliser par l’enseignant pour effectuer des cours, des surveillances ou des activités périphériques
