Data Intermediation Platform (Spanish acronym: PID): This avoids the public being asked to provide the same documents over and over again. 45 certificates are currently included in the system and the platform has been accessed 33.7 million times. Information is provided by over 135 different agencies. Data transfer has increased by 20%. It received the United Nations prize for the project with the most extensive international uptake in 2014. In 2014, the public administration services exchanged over 96 million certificates, thereby avoiding citizens needing to present them on paper. This exchange of data between public administration services led to a saving of almost 480 million euros in 2014 for citizens and companies.
