Clubs applying for a license must promptly notify the Licensor promptly of any “significant
change…especially a change of legal form, legal group structure or identity” that arise after submission of the licensing documents. A club being privatized would likely trigger the requirement to submit such a notification.

If any change to legal form, legal group structure or identity of a license applicant is “to the detriment of the integrity of a competition or to facilitate the License Applicant’s qualification for a competition on sporting merit or its receipt of a License” the two-year rule would not be met. Whilst unlikely, it is possible that this restriction would be triggered by a club being privatized.
