Computerization or Automation? Trabalho para uma empresa de desenvolvimento de software clínico. E esta dúvida surgiu na seguinte frase: "A empresa informatiza hospital XYZ". Eu pessoalmente não gosto muito de "computerizes" porque acho que na verdade não reflecte tudo o que o nosso sistema faz. Por outro lado, talvez "automates" não seja a melhor solução. "X implements electronic clinical solutions in hospital XYZ".

healthcare services automation/computerization

Portuguese uses the word "saude" for both "health" and "healthcare." Here we have a good opportunity to use the word "healthcare" since it's a bit more accurate.

Depending on context, any of the following 3 variants could be used:
healthcare services automation
healthcare services computerization
healthcare services information systems

PS - I'm a database programmer and am considering designing such a system for a municipal client right now actually!
