Profile

I have been working as a freelance German/Spanish to English translator and proofreader for four years, covering general and business translation, and specialising in marketing, tourism, travel and the arts. I returned to translation full-time in 2019, after a wide-ranging career in the business, retail, tourism, arts and academic sectors, which provides me with extensive knowledge base for my translation work. In 2022 I gained my Diploma in Translation (German to English) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, and I also have a BA (Hons) in Applied Languages (German and Spanish). I provide accurate translations with fluent, natural-sounding English; eloquent, engaging language for marketing; meticulous attention to detail; good communication; and prompt delivery.
