Bio

A full-time freelancer since 2001, I have a wealth of writing and translation experience and expertise in several fields.

Sport: I am currently working with the International Olympic Committee on two major legacy projects  one focusing on the legacy of each Olympic Games of the modern era (since Athens 1896) and another on the legacy of all the venues used at every Games. This work involves making use of IOC research and other sources to write compelling content that brings the various aspects of legacy to life.

I also work on anything and everything from Olympic Games bid files, legal documents and coaching manuals to press releases, player/coach interviews and promotional/marketing material, thriving under pressure to deliver polished content that needs little or no editing.

In helping governing bodies, national federations, organising committees (past and present), leading clubs, media consultancies and games and equipment manufacturers inform and engage their audiences, I have covered nearly every sport, from athletics to archery, football to fencing, and tennis to taekwondo.

Creative: in partnering news agencies, museums, art exhibition organisers, lifestyle magazines and clients in the aerospace and tourism industries, I take press releases, catalogues, articles and newsletters in my source languages and rephrase, restructure and reshape them. The result is a text that flows from top to bottom and resonates with its intended audience.

I also write original sports-related content: interviews, features and reports.
