Source text - Russian 1. Две небольшие заметки о мастерской И. И. Левитана появились благодаря книге Евграфа Кончина «Загадочный Левитан». Первое сообщение являлось эмоциональной реакцией на фразу о том, что здание мастерской за время советской власти покосилось – Что значит «покосилось»? У мастерской, бывшей оранжереи, было снесено целое крыло! А второе сообщение стало ответом на вопрос, заданный Е. Кончиным: «Кто такая Подгорецкая-Захарьина?». Я знала, кто такая Подгорецкая-Захарьина, но не связывала ее имя с Левитаном. Спасибо Е. Кончину. За движением научной мысли всегда стоят вопросы.
2. В научный оборот вводится новая дата в биографии Ф. С. Рокотова – 1749. Это год, когда братья Рокотовы проживали в московском доме П. И. Репнина на углу улиц Моховая и Б. Никитская. В доклад включена хронология жизни художника, составленная нами ранее на основании архивных источников и дополненная литературными источниками.
3. Атрибуция архитектурного рисунка М. Врубеля как «Вариант архитектурного проекта фасада флигеля-мастерской (Садовая-Спасская ул., д. 6, стр. 2)». Единое стилистическое решение оформления въезда в усадьбу: главный фасад флигеля и пилоны ворот – пример комплексного архитектурного мышления художника. Высказано предположение о том, что возможно рисунок «Архитектурный проект» неизвестного фасада, из книги С. П. Яремича «Михаил Александрович Врубель. Жизнь и творчество» также является проектом фасада флигеля-мастерской.
4. Найденные в исповедальных книгах церкви Архидиякона Евпла упоминания о семье Василия Коптева позволяют внести дополнения в биографию художника. Василий Коптев был крепостным генерал-майора Томилова и проживал с 1745 года в Москве в доме своего господина на Мясницкой улице. Высказывается предположение об участии крепостного художника Коптева в росписи каменного храма Архидиякона Евпла, построенного в 1750–1753 годах, на месте деревянной церкви (согласно завещанию генерал-майора Томилова).
Translation - English 1. Thanks to Yevgraf Konchin’s book “Mysterious Levitan”, two footnotes have appeared about Levitan’s art studio. First is an emotional reaction to the cited phrase that, during the Soviet period, the building of the studio was “lopsided” - what does "lopsided" mean? An entire wing was demolished at the art studio, a former greenhouse! Second is a response to the question posed by Konchin: "Who is Podgoretsky-Zakharyin?". I knew who Podgoretsky-Zakharyin was, but did not connect it with the name Levitan. A thank-you to Konchin. Questions always move academic thought ahead.
2. A new date in the biography Rokotoff - 1749 - has been introduced into the academic literature. This is the year when the brothers Rokotoff lived in Repnin’s Moscow home at the corner of Mokhovaya and B. Nikitskaya. The report includes a chronology of the artist's life, compiled earlier on the basis of archival sources and supplemented by bibliograpical sources.
3. Attribution of Vrubel’s architectural drawing as a "Variant of an architectural project of the studio wing’s facade (6 Sadovaa-Spasskaa St., buliding 2)". The unified stylistic resolution of the design of the estate’s entrance – the wing’s main façade with gate pylons – is an example of the complex architectural thought of the artist. The suggestion is made that possibly the drawing of an unknown facade, titled "Architectural design," from the book by Yaremich "Mikhail Vrubel. Life and Work," is also a sketch of the facade of the wing-studio.
4. Mention of the family of Vasily Kopteff, found in the church confessional books of the Arhidiyakona Evpla’s church, allows the biography of the artist to be amended. Vasily Kopteff was a serf (slave) of Major General Tomiloff and lived since 1745 in Moscow, in the house of his master on Masnitskaa Street. The suggestion is made that the serf artist Kopteff participated in painting the stone church Arhidiyakon Evpla, which was built during 1750-1753 on the grounds of a former wooden church (according to Major General Tomiloff’s will).
