How to block images in Adblock Plus Dec 17, 2018

Just install Adblock Plus, right click on the icons you can't stand and then choose "Block element", et voilà!

Tried that. It doesn't work.

The right-click trick might also work, but if you know the URLs of the images, then you can set it up manually.

Left-click the Adblock Plus icon in your extension bar (e.g. next to your browser's address field, depending on the browser). Click the gear/cog icon. Scroll down and click "Start creating my filter list". Then type this, and press Save:

sslcdn.proz.com/images/pftv6/hot_red_folder.gif
sslcdn.proz.com/images/pftv6/hot_folder.gif

This will hide only flaming icons, but the non-flaming ones will remain:

hidden images

If you want to hide the non-flaming ones as well, add these two to the filter list as well:

sslcdn.proz.com/images/pftv6/red_folder.gif
sslcdn.proz.com/images/pftv6/folder.gif

Who cares about that?

It would be useful if they sizzled when there were new posts. I couldn't care less how many posts there are in a forum. Does anyone? Is it important to YOU?

😡😠😡😕
